In the recent year, the prediction technologies for dispersion of ventilated air from road tunnels are becoming very serious environmental impacts for tunnel surroundings.
The dispersion of ventilated air could be separated at tunnel portal, open part and exhaust shaft of ventilation tower.
In the case of road tunnel planning in urban area, the air pollution control strategies should be considered for the selection of ventilation systems and scenario for operation programs of ventilation systems.
Especially, prediction technologies for discharged air volume by traffic piston action from tunnel portal is our significant fruits of research and development, based upon the several experience of scale model experiment, field test and system design for tunnel ventilation.
